If life isn't making much sense at the moment, don't worry its just enlightenment!

I have had many conversations over the past week with people struggling to make sense of their current experience, whether it be a newly realised anger at the injustice of the world, a return of old emotional torments which had appeared to be long gone, or simply confusion at a growing sense of dissatisfaction. 

In my view the challenge we are all facing is enlightenment. By enlightenment I simply mean a greater access to more profound information, particularly information with regards to our true nature. This information is often at odds with our self perception and is seldom (if ever) an immediate transportation to Nirvana!

In fact I once jokingly said that enlightenment is a bitch and the more familiar I become with the stages and nature of the process the more I see how close to the truth that statement was.

I have written before about the discomfort of cognitive dissonance and it doesn't get much more upsetting for the ego than to be presented with information which invalidates its story and even threatens its existence. 

For those having a tough time don't panic...its just enlightenment. The information you now have access to is either in opposition to your story or more commonly, for those who have been 'doing spiritual work for sometime, is nothing like you expected (which is the same thing really).

In amongst all the reports of difficult times are reflections upon an illusive yet tangible space, not far from the surface, which arises unbidden and unexpectedly, yet cannot be found when searched for. That space is beyond definition but has an all pervasive certainty and ease.

The good news is that you are that space. This is your true nature. After years with the name we finally realise that we are all fundamentally a creative space.
