My teacher speaks! /September 27, 2013

I will start this week with a question my son Tom asked yesterday:

" Is there a shift happening or something soon because people seem to be getting weird. Or is just me haha?"

Tom has been my greatest teacher over the past twenty years. Continually challenging me to wake up to a different reality, a different possibility. Forcing me to re-calibrate my notions of success and failure, to the extent that I am no longer sure if either is possible. Pushing me to continually adjust my expectations until I finally surrender to the sublime peace of having no expectations.

He has shone a light on my own fear and created a space into which I could expand. He guided me to presence.

Tom asked this question because..well in his own words again:

"nothing major just i had a week last week where do you know my need to touch everything to see what it feels like came back in a major way. Has not been like that since I was about 14 so I was wondering if some sort of shift is coming"

You see Tom's world, like all the kids we work with is a feeling place. Heightened sensitivity within and beyond five senses, processing information in a much more attuned connected way than those dependent on an empirical theoretical explainable experience.

I trust Tom's sense of something's happening a lot more than the rational analysis of things, and if Tom's feeling it you can be sure millions of others are gently shifting to the new level of awareness.

Tom wasn't seeking reassurance about the nature of the shift. He displayed no opposition to it. Simply a curiosity of a shared experience.

My advice to Tom at the end of the conversation:

"Just be authentic and enjoy the experience!"

His reply:

"no other way I take life"

Thanks Tom,

Love
