De-Programme
Tracy's daughter Holly once said that we should re-name our workthe Creative Space De-Programme rather than Programme.
She was right.
Inappropriate dress
Having been spoiled in an oasis of relative calm for the past week I returned to the UK yesterday to a tsunami of what is commonly taken for "bad" news (personal and societal). I will spare you the details but the difference in energy was palpable.
However, having had a good nights sleep and re-oriented I remembered an old saying which was particularly appropriate yesterday as I transitioned from Arizona sunshine to English mist and rain.
"There is no such thing as "bad" weather, just inappropriate dress".
I know it's a stretch to adjust that saying to "there is no such thing as "bad" news, just inappropriate reactions" but for me the past ten years exploration and growth have largely been about converting reaction to response, a process which required considerable de-programming.
Reaction is a hard wired (programmed) set of behaviours, choices and emotions, easily influenced by others, either those close to us or the collective in general. Reaction is like a reflex, unthinking and conditioned, directed by the reptilian brain, interested only in survival.
Response is a considered, usually authentic set of choices to a given situation or piece of news. Response is the domain of the cerebral cortex, reasoned, evolved, hopefully human and usually creative.
An unconscious programmed individual, and by extension society, is easily directed by stimulating the desired reaction. The most frequently used tool for control is fear. Within this structure the population gets energy from "bad" news and gives a disproportionate amount of attention to the "negative". This resonance with the pain body as Tolle calls it works at both the societal and individual level.
If you have the stomach for it watch any edition of the news and then one of the popular soap operas. The viewing figures correlate strongly with the "badness" of the news or the story-line. People take energy from the suffering and then love to share the energy. Watch someone passing on a piece of shocking news or a group sharing gossip and you will get the idea.
Stability becomes attractive...stay aware.
Most reading this will already have invested much time and energy de-programming and will by nature be free thinking individuals, but it appears more and more people are waking up to the programming and seeing through the manipulation. This increased awareness will lead to greater efforts to re-establish the power of the programming. Roughly translated this means the news will get "badder" in its attempt to control.
This is obvious in the dramas being staged on the global level, be it in an imaginary war on terror or whatever other current crisis is in vogue. (According to the schedule we should be getting terrified of alien invasion soon). The lies and propaganda have moved from shocking, to exhausting, to boring and are now increasingly laughable.
What is less obvious is the same dynamic being played out on the personal level. As our awareness increases and we become more distant from drama and suffering as an energy source, those still feeding from that energy are likely to increase the stakes in an attempt to re-establish their dynamic. For a while the more stable we get the bigger the dramas will appear, until we reach a certain point where the drama actually gets bored of us and moves on seeking other prey.
Once we have unhooked from those patterns our stability becomes attractive to many and it is easy to become the attention point from those still seeking stability. Beware of this subtle version of the same old game and trust an ever increasing awareness as a guide to the authentic.
In this process we should expect people to move out of our lives. This can feel isolating but as awareness grows it will attract others on a similar trajectory, and the absence of the programming and the programmed is more than enough reward for any short term isolation. Another symptom is boredom, not with life and the ordinary but with anything residing within the programme, which again may be many old friends and even family.
The world will stabilise with us
The current shift in consciousness on a global as well as personal level will inevitably create a degree of instability and the challenge we face at the moment is to receive and process news and new information from a place of stability. As we move into stability the drama will become less interesting to us and with us.
In short, as we stabilise at the individual level so the world will stabilise with us!
Lots of love
