Our Light /June 14, 2013

t is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

One of my personal challenges to emerge from our recent Sacred Money Archetypes workshop was to write riskier blogs. This was to satisfy my Maverick archetype, who unless entertained can get up to all sorts of mischief!

This raised interesting questions for me about self censorship and the extent to which I compromise my communication to remain 'acceptable'. I have sometimes been wary of appearing too apocalyptic in my view of the world.

Well I am going to take a risk and make no apology for the apocalyptic nature of my current view. I have written many times that the apocalypse is a term describing the lifting of the veils, the revelation of the truth. Currently, I am sure you have noticed that the truth is desperate to be heard. Like a beach ball held underwater the pressure for revelation is building and in fact bursting forth, certainly at a societal level, and for many at a personal level as well.

The truths we are collectively facing are uncomfortable. The pillars upon which we have built our society appear to be made of sand. The banks are exposed on almost a daily basis to be committing fraud (re-named as mis-selling or rate fixing). Our Governments are committing acts of violence (in our name) for 'our' protection without our permission. The same Governments are spying on us and everybody else. The rule of law is selectively applied, or not at all to those connected or wealthy enough. Taxes are voluntary to corporations but not their employees.

To some all this sounds horribly negative and dis-empowering. But to me it is actually very exciting. There is nothing new in any of the above. What is new is the extent and flow of this information. My view is that we can only access the information when we have the intelligence or consciousness to process it. The fact that most have been unable or unwilling to access the less palatable truths was neither good nor bad, simply a reflection of the level of consciousness or awareness we had available.

The very fact that light is being shone on these issues suggests to me that we are ready to move beyond the thinking which meant they were necessary. As we move to higher levels of consciousness (which to me implies deeper levels of intelligence) the source of the 'problems' we face will simply not exist. The need for corruption, violence, fear and greed are products of a world view based on separation and scarcity. The new information points to something different, and once that information is embraced and processed, our challenges become those of creation as opposed to survival.

We will have to adjust to the growing transparency of our world, our thoughtsand actions. I'm not sure who said it but I can feel the honesty in the phrase "Enlightenment is a bitch!"  Greater awareness will require, and lead to, less judgment and more tolerance. I believe this to be an organic process we are currently all 'enjoying'.

Suppression of information is becoming increasingly difficult and this is not a mistake. You wait until telepathy is the norm...there will be nowhere to hide then! And the beautiful irony is that there really is nothing to hide.As MArianne Williamson says....it is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us,
