Silence is Golden / March 30 2014

Silence is Golden.

There is a an uncomfortable clip doing the rounds on You Tube of President Obama ending a press conference in Europe and being met with a stony silence as opposed to the appreciative applause protocol demands. Regardless of your politics or preferences there is an undoubted message in the silence. The message is Enough!

In Turkey, the prime minister has blocked Twitter and You Tube. It appears a recorded conversation in which he discusses the possibility of a False Flag attack on his own people as a pre-text to escalate the Syrian conflict has been leaked, and is unlikely to boost his electoral popularity. I suspect people will say Enough!

In California Senator Leland Yee, who authored gun control legislation, has been busted by the FBI for conspiracy to deal firearms without a license and to illegally import firearms. A slight irony there! A definite case of Enough!

At the last count, banker suicides this year reached 20, as an industry which is still rewarding itself handsomely despite its very public failure and dishonesty cries out for even more attention! It seems this is one case where enough is never enough!

Wherever you look, if you choose to, there is a growing awareness of, and disenchantment with, the way we are being governed, and  the actions, choices and lies of those governing are becoming more reckless and desperate.

These behaviours remind me of a child seeking boundaries. It feels like their actions are pushing people to a limit where we collectively say Enough! I suspect those desperately clinging on to power are secretly wishing someone would send them to their rooms and ground them for a week as a more reasoned responsible adult takes control!

Looking at the big picture can be dispiriting as it all seems such a mess and beyond the influence of the individual, but it is important to realise that those in power still need the approval and compliance of us all. It is very dangerous for Obama (and any leader) when people no longer believe his words. The Turkish prime minister fears his true plans being known. The bankers are like greedy kids on a sugar high in a sweet shop...they will keep on eating until they are sick or stopped!

Part of the awakening we are all experiencing is seeing through the lies and coercion, and honouring our own personal truth. The last thing those clinging to power want is for the individual to lose their fear and to start listening to their own truth.

The realisation most feared by those hungry for war, more and control is that people are fundamentally good. In crisis people look after one and other. The 99% simply want to live their lives, not control others'.

As those losing control become more desperate they may well attempt to increase the level of fear which ultimately is their only source of power. It is now a choice as to whether or not we listen to them or simply use our own internal guidance system. It would appear from the response to Obama the latter is starting to happen.
